What I am trying to accomplish

The main things that I am trying to accomplish are: Putting some of the projects that I have been contemplating down in instructional format – step by step so that I and others can learn from them. As George Carlin once said I need a place for my stuff.

Right now I am a geek with a lot of time on my hands and I want to teach and preserve the tid bits that I have collected throughout my life. The opinions are just mine and you may know other ways of doing things that are much more elegant. If you do, please share them with me so that I can share them here. I don’t claim to have all of the answers, but I do have lots of questions and projects that have solutions to them that might help someone.

This is a journey. It is an old adage that we teach what we most need to learn. I have taught classes in Networking, Linux and Microsoft OS’s, Web Design and Development and other computer courses at a couple of community colleges. Feedback will help this site grow in ways that will help everyone including me (yes, I still want to learn more).

I have great hopes for this site. I would like it to have screen casts of various things like coding, security, setting up software and generally having a good time learning.
