Everyone needs a NAS in their home! Not only to backup all of the documents, pictures and things, but to use as a home server for all kind of things. The Synology DS923+ is not the smallest or the largest NAS around, but it really hits that “sweet spot” for home users — Not too big or small when combined with 10Tb drives (which you need to buy because this does not come with any drives). If you are purchasing the Synology NAS that I recommended, you have 4 drive slots. You don’t have to fill all of them at once, but I suggest that you buy at least 2 drives to begin with.
