EMERGENCY CARD ONE — GOING DARK

EMERGENCY CARD: GOING DARK CARD NUMBER: EC-01 LAST REVIEWED: October 2025

TRIGGER

Called by the Watchdog or Team Lead after a Tier 3 confirmation or existential threat — confirmed surveillance, direct confrontation, or legal jeopardy.

EXECUTION STEPS

Stop initiating all communications. No exceptions, no quick goodbyes.
Do not delete anything. Deletion looks like guilt if devices are examined later. Silence is not destruction.
Switch devices to airplane mode. Physically isolate phones in Faraday pouches or powered off entirely if the threat model warrants it.
Shift any essential traffic to the pre-agreed fallback channel. Essential means health and safety only.
Surface personas freeze. No posting, no liking, no reacting. Decoys stay exactly as last placed.
Each member acknowledges receipt of the dark call by the agreed silent signal. One check means I am in. No response within one hour means the Watchdog assumes compromise.

WHILE DARK

Check the fallback channel at the pre-agreed check-in window only — once daily maximum. Short sessions, no browsing, log off.

RESURFACE CRITERIA — ALL THREE MUST BE TRUE

The Watchdog confirms the threat source is identified or has gone inactive for the agreed observation period.
No new probes have correlated across members for 72 hours.
The team votes to resurface — majority of members, Watchdog breaks ties.

RESURFACE PROCEDURE

Resurface gradually, never simultaneously. One member resumes normal activity first and acts as the canary for 48 hours. If nothing follows, a second member resumes. Staggered return across one week. Surface personas warm up slowly — light activity first, normal rhythm by week's end.

REMEMBER

You survive first. You counter second.
